Event
One of the most active areas of HÖK is the Event Organization Sector, aimed at enriching the active student years with memorable experiences. The sector conceptualizes and executes a variety of events of different types and themes, ensuring everyone finds their preferred program, whether it's sports activities during Sports Weeks, relaxed gatherings at Beer Pong events, or unforgettable night parties at the Grand Hall Parties. In addition to creating experiences, essential parts of the sector's activities include starting the academic year as well as integration events for freshman students before Freshman Camp, which has consistently been a sold-out event in recent years. We also prioritize training our own members by organizing various professional discussions, preparatory camps, and leadership training sessions.

Bendegúz Mátravölgyi, second-year economic informatics student, head of the Event Organization Area. Bendi previously managed the IT team from September 2023, then in July 2024 he was elected head of the event management area. In his new position, his main goals include the integration of freshmen, the acquisition of student experiences, and the enrichment and development of community life.
In the field of event management, it is a fundamental skill for the leader to have a confident and persuasive personality, to be able to see through the projects running at the same time, and to respond successfully to unexpected situations. In addition, it is essential to understand the needs of the university student body, channel feedback, and communicate effectively with external partners. Finally, like all managers, you need to be able to work in a team and solve complex problems.

In most cases, we aim to organize at least one event per month, but this number varies over the course of the months. In the fall, they took part in a pub crawl and several Sörpong championships, in the winter Corvinus ice skating and the Aulabul, and in the spring they also took part in Sörpong Leagues, the Aulabul and Sporthét, and in the summer the New Year's Eve and Közgáz Évzár.
Over the past year, we have started a collaboration with the Student Governments of several universities in order to enrich our event palette, and as a result, we have already had two successful beer pong championships, one organized jointly with the BME and the other with the University of Óbuda. We plan to collaborate with as many universities as possible in the future, so we offer you the opportunity to meet students from other universities and have fun together.
