HÖK Elections 2026
General Information
The Supervisory Board of the Budapest Corvinus University Students' Union (HÖK), based on the decision of the HÖK Presidency, announces the Students' Union Delegate Assembly elections for the period from April 2, 2026 to May 16, 2026.
What is the Delegate Assembly?
The Delegate Assembly (KGY) is one of the most important bodies of the Students' Union (HÖK) — it is essentially the rule-making body of the organization. The Delegate Assembly is the body that makes decisions on behalf of students on the most important matters of HÖK, such as regulations, officials, and the operation of the Students' Union.
The Delegate Assembly consists of 41 members, elected every 2 years. The Delegate Assembly elects the President of the Students' Union.
Who can vote?
Every student with active student status can participate in the elections. The right to vote is equal, secret, and direct.
Any student can run as a candidate who submits a valid application during the candidate nomination period.
Every student can cast two votes: one for a representative group, and one for an individual candidate in their respective electoral district.

Mandates
In the Delegate Assembly, 15 individual and 26 list-based mandates are distributed. Of the individual seats, 10 are in the undergraduate district and 5 in the graduate district.

According to the Statutes of the Student Union of the Corvinus University Budapest, the election period consists of the following phases, with deadlines being critical and non-negotiable.

Candidate Nomination Period
Potential candidates can register on the online system to run in the elections.
April 18, 2026, 0:00 – April 20, 23:59
Review Period for Candidate Nominations
The review committee evaluates the candidate nomination documents.
April 21, 2026, 0:00 – April 23, 23:59
Appeal Period for Candidate Nominations
Candidates can appeal the review committee's decisions.
April 24, 2026, 0:00 – April 26, 23:59
Review Period Following Appeals
The appeals are reviewed and final decisions are made.
April 27, 2026, 0:00 – May 10, 23:59
Voting Period
Eligible voters can cast their votes through the online system.
May 11, 2026, 0:00 – 23:59
Result Determination Period
Votes are counted and results are determined.
May 12, 2026, 0:00 – May 14, 23:59
Appeal Period for Voting Results
Voters can appeal the election results.

Review Period Following Appeals on Voting Results
Final appeals are reviewed and official results are announced.

Election Regulations
Required Documents for Valid Application
Candidates must submit the following documents:
- Campaign Poster – A document containing the candidate's name, year of study, major, motivation letter, and photograph
- Proof of Student Status – Official documentation confirming active (non-suspended) student status
- Declaration regarding:
- Knowledge and acceptance of the provisions of the Statutes
- If running as an individual candidate, a declaration to that effect
- The electoral district in which the candidate is running
- Consent to the publication of the submitted data during the election period
Forming Representative Groups
Representative groups for the elections can be formed during the candidate nomination period. For more information about list formation requirements, see Section 14 of the Statute. In case of list formation, the representative group leader submits the declarations, proof of student status, and campaign posters of all candidates on the list to the Supervisory Board during the nomination period.

Election Conduct
Elections are conducted electronically through the University's Moodle system in an anonymous manner. As of March 30, 2026, the number of eligible voters is: 6,855 students.
